Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is a model and actor. Her debut came in the Bond film called A View to a Kill in the year 1985. In 1989 she played an archaeologist with Nazi sympathies Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. The other roles she played include Siobhan Donavan as Charlotte in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). A photographer approached Doody. Doody began to model and subsequently a career in commercial modelling. Doody was determined to steer clear of glamour and nude roles, which was a principle she followed in her acting. After catching the eye of the casting director for the upcoming James Bond movie, she took a part in A View to a Kill as Jenny Flex. Doody was listed within John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3. She is listed as one of the 12 top actors from 1986. 38. At just 18 as she played the role Doody was, and still is the youngest Bond girl who has appeared in a film. Another early movie played a tiny part in the film in the role of IRA member Siobhan Donovan on A Prayer for the Dying (1987) that featured Mickey Rourke. Doody played a non-speaking part in the 1987 film adaptation The Secret Garden appearing as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias in a dream. The Storyteller episode from 1988 was her first appearance in the main part of Sapsorrow, alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) before taking possibly her most famous role in her career in the role of Austrian Archaeologist and Nazi-sympathiser the Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade as a co-star with Harrison Ford. Doody is a part of the James Bond family, having acted along with Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in the film Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. Doody played alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries, a British mini-series that was inspired by Hitler Diaries. Following her move to Hollywood, Doody became an international star. The choice was made to replace Cybill Shepherd as spokeswoman for L'Oreal She went on to perform alongside Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II in the role of Flannery his girlfriend and agent. Doody came back to acting in 2003 when she played a minuscule performance as a character in her role in the British comedy film The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at an awards show. Doody was a co-star with Patrick Swayze in a 2004 TV movie adaptation to King Solomon's Mines and also was a part of a short titled Benjamin's Struggle (2005) a pamphlet about the Holocaust and also in the British TV program Waking the Dead (in a two-part episode known as. Doody recorded a part in the film of Danny Dyer, The Rapture. She guested in RTE's the medical thriller The Clinic. The project was later canceled. The year 2011 saw her debut on the first of two seasons in the E4 comedy drama Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. In 2014, she was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way. The film was awarded the Almeria film award on November 21, 2018.
